Glyphi
Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the Glyphi application ("the App") handles user information.
What data we collect
None. Glyphi does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. The app runs completely offline and does not require registration, sign-in or an internet connection.
How Glyphi processes your content
Glyphi takes two types of input from you: text and images.

Text input:
- Text you type or paste into the Input field is used only to generate ASCII art in real time
- Text is not saved, logged or transmitted anywhere
- When you close the app or clear the field, the text is gone

Image input:
- Images you drop into Glyphi are processed locally on your Mac to produce ASCII art
- Images are never uploaded to any server
- Images are not retained after you load a new image or close the app
- No image metadata (EXIF, location, etc.) is read, stored or transmitted
System permissions
Glyphi does not require any sensitive system permissions.

It does not access:
- Your microphone
- Your camera
- Your contacts
- Your location
- Your files outside of what you explicitly drop into the app
- Your keystrokes or input outside the app's own input field
Local data storage
User settings (selected style preset, width, colors, animation preferences, etc.) are stored locally on your device using the standard macOS storage (UserDefaults).

This data:
- is not transmitted to our servers
- is not shared with third parties
- is accessible only to you
- is removed when you uninstall the app
In-app purchases
Glyphi offers an optional one-time purchase ("Glyphi Pro") processed entirely through Apple's StoreKit. The developer does not receive or store your payment information, Apple ID, or any billing details. All purchase data is handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy.

To verify Pro status, the app communicates with Apple's StoreKit framework on your device. No purchase data leaves your Mac through Glyphi's code.
Analytics and tracking
The app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs or tracking systems. Apple may collect anonymized installation statistics through the App Store, which is not under the developer's control.
Children
The app is not specifically designed for children under 13, but it is safe for users of any age, as it does not collect any data.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
