FAQ
Which formats can I import?
Resizer accepts a wide range of image formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, HEIC/HEIF and WebP.
Which formats can I export to?
You can export to JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF and PDF.
What do the presets do?
Resizer includes three quick presets:
Web — optimizes images for websites (smaller size, reasonable quality)
Marketplace — prepares images for online stores and listings
Compress — reduces file weight while keeping acceptable quality
You can also adjust format, quality and maximum dimensions manually.
Why doesn't my file get much smaller?
If a file shows around 0% change after processing, it is usually already well-compressed (for example, an existing JPG at similar quality). In that case there's little room to shrink it further without losing visible quality. Try lowering the quality value or reducing the maximum dimensions.
Can I keep or overwrite the originals?
Yes. In Settings → Original Images, choose Keep to save results as new files, or Overwrite to replace the source files.
Privacy
Does Resizer collect my data?
No. Resizer runs completely offline and does not send any data to the internet. No analytics, no telemetry, no servers.
Where are my settings stored?
Locally on your device. Nothing is sent to the cloud. Your settings remain even after uninstalling and reinstalling, as long as macOS preserves the app data.
Does Resizer access my other files?
No. The app only reads and processes the files you explicitly drop in or select. It never scans your disk or accesses files without your action. For full details, read the Privacy Policy: alexeybychkov.com/resizer-privacy
